health professions, OSU offers eight accredited baccalaureate
degree programs in the School of Allied Medical Professions:
- Physical Therapy is now a graduate-level program with information
available at amp.osu.edu/PT/.
- Occupational Therapy is now a graduate-level program with information
available at amp.osu.edu/OT/.
HOW TO APPLY
Applications
This application is to be used by:
-
current or former Ohio State students, or
-
students completing prerequisite courses elsewhere who hope to
be admitted directly to professional study in Allied Medical
Professions at Ohio State.
This application is NOT appropriate for:
-
those who have never attended college, or
-
transfer students who plan to complete prerequisite courses at
Ohio State
before entering the professional program.

ADMISSION CRITERIA
For all Allied Medical Professions
Admission to each of the programs within the School of Allied Medical
Professions is selective. Although the criteria vary by program,
most applicants are evaluated on the basis of:
- Completion of prerequisite courses
- Grades received in prerequisite college courses as well as overall
GPA
- Knowledge of the profession as demonstrated in the personal
statement and the professional experience record
- Interview (if required by the program)
Applicants are encouraged to check their program of interest for
specific criteria.

COSTS / FEES / DEPOSITS
Costs
These estimates are meant to provide a guideline for new students enrolling
for 2009-2010. The estimated expenses for the first three quarters
include:

Only one fee is required even if you apply to multiple Allied Medical
Programs
No application fee is required if you are or have ever been an
enrolled undergraduate student at Ohio State.
Acceptance fee (non refundable)
$100 non-refundable acceptance fee is required of new students
to OSU and OSU students who are being admitted to a degree granting
college at OSU for the first time.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
International applicants from non-English speaking countries are
required to fulfill the TOEFL, MELAB or IELTS requirement. If your native
language is not English, you should possess a minimum level of English proficiency
as follows:
