Courses
What types of courses are available to Academy students?
Students must complete the college preparatory requirements in the subject area of interest before enrolling in a course in that subject area through the Academy.

2 units of science with a lab |

2 units of foriegn language (can be different than the language you wish to take through the Academy) |
| Visual or Performing Arts |
1 unit of visual or performing art |
One unit = Carnegie Unit/year-long course in high school
Students also need to meet course prerequisites, such as math placement scores for a math or science course.
Students are not guaranteed enrollment in any specific course through the Academy. Course enrollment will be effected by a number of
factors, including:
- The number of seats available in a course
- The time that courses are offered during the day
- Restrictions placed by academic departments
